If you are wondering where to watch Champions League Lebanon style, with a proper shisha, a big screen and a late kick-off that does not end with the lights coming on at half-time, Keserwan has one answer built for it. Loco's Shisha Cafe in Okaibe screens every Champions League matchday and stays open past the final whistle, every night of the week.
Champions League matchdays this season (checked October 2026)
The 2026/27 league phase runs eight matchdays from September to late January. Five of them are still ahead. Late kick-offs land at 22:00 Beirut time, which is exactly when most cafes on the coast start stacking chairs. We do not.
| Matchday | Dates | Late kick-off (Beirut) | Loco's closes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Matchday 4 | Tue 3 and Wed 4 November 2026 | 22:00 | 01:00 |
| Matchday 5 | Tue 24 and Wed 25 November 2026 | 22:00 | 01:00 |
| Matchday 6 | Tue 8 and Wed 9 December 2026 | 22:00 | 01:00 |
| Matchday 7 | Tue 19 and Wed 20 January 2027 | 22:00 | 01:00 |
| Matchday 8 | Tue 27 January 2027 (all matches together) | 22:00 | 01:00 |
Fixtures, channels and the knockout rounds that follow in February are kept current on our live match schedule, which pulls the official calendar rather than a list typed once in September.
Watching at Loco's: screens, kick-off times, seating
Match nights at Loco's are simple. The main screen faces the main floor, the sound is on, and the tables are arranged so nobody is watching over a shoulder. The early slot kicks off at 19:45 Beirut time and the late slot at 22:00, so a double-header evening runs from before eight until past midnight.
- →Doors: open from 2 PM every day; the room fills from about 21:00 on matchdays.
- →Closing: 1 AM Sunday to Thursday, 2 AM Friday and Saturday. Matchdays are Tuesdays and Wednesdays, so plan on 1 AM.
- →Shisha: a premium head is $11, a Russian dark-leaf head is $15, and a head change ($5.50 or $7.50) carries you through extra time.
- →Wi-Fi: 300+ Mbps symmetric, which matters when half the table is following a second match on a phone.
Other ways to watch football in Keserwan
Keserwan is not short of screens. Seaside restaurants from Maameltein to Tabarja put a television on the terrace, rooftop bars in Kaslik run the big fixtures with a DJ afterwards, and most pubs along the Jounieh highway will find the match if you ask. Each works for a different night out.
| Venue type | Good for | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|
| Seaside restaurant terrace | Dinner first, match second | Wind in winter; shisha is a side order and heat management suffers |
| Rooftop or pub in Kaslik | Loud atmosphere, drinks | Music over commentary after the whistle; shisha often quick-light coal |
| Dedicated shisha lounge (Loco's) | The match and the shisha both done properly | Book on Tuesday and Wednesday nights in the knockout rounds |
The honest difference is what the shisha is to the venue. Where it is an add-on, the head arrives late, the coals are quick-light and nobody changes them during the second half. Where it is the product, as it is here, the head is packed when you order, natural coconut coal is managed through the match, and a stainless steel pipe draws the same at minute ninety as at kick-off.
What to order during a match
A ninety-minute match plus stoppages is almost exactly one shisha session, so the timing works. Order the head before kick-off so it is settled by the time the anthem plays. For a group, two heads on two pipes beats one pipe with four hoses: everybody draws when they want and nobody argues about the rotation.
- Before kick-off: a premium blonde head (Serbetli or Revoshi lemon mint, grape mint or double apple) at $11, water on the table.
- Half-time: a head change if the first half was tense. Switch to a Russian dark-leaf head (Musthave or Darkside, $15) if you want more strength for the second half.
- Final whistle: coffee or an Almaza ($5.50) while the highlights run, and the full menu if the evening turns into a late one.
Order the head at the first whistle, not the first goal. A head packed at kick-off is at its best through the whole match; one ordered at minute thirty is still warming up when the second half starts.
Booking a table for matchday
Group-stage Tuesdays and Wednesdays rarely need a reservation if you arrive before the late kick-off. For the big fixtures, the knockout rounds from February, and any night a Lebanese favourite is playing, send a WhatsApp to 03 488 055 with the number of people and the match, and the table is yours. Birthday groups and karaoke requests go through the same number; see our night-out guide for how those evenings run.
Getting here from Jounieh, Kaslik and Jbeil
Loco's is at Center Chalfoun, ground floor, on the Okaibe Sea Road in Okaibe, between Jounieh and Jbeil. From Kaslik and Jounieh it is about ten minutes north on the coastal highway; from Jbeil about ten minutes south; from Beirut thirty to forty minutes depending on traffic. There is parking in front of the centre and along the road. The late kick-off finishes just before midnight, and the drive home along the coast is empty.
Loco's Shisha Cafe, Center Chalfoun, Okaibe Sea Road, Okaibe, Keserwan. Open daily 2 PM to 1 AM, Friday and Saturday until 2 AM. Every Champions League matchday on screen. WhatsApp 03 488 055 to book a match table, or browse the live menu and the match schedule before you come.
